This Downtown Fort Myers Engagement session was the sweetest one to date. When I met this bride to be Ashlee, for our consultation I was so excited to document the love both Greg and Ashlee shared for each other. After hearing how they met and getting know both of them on a deeper level it made me more excited for their wedding day that was fast approaching.
I love getting to know my clients before their engagement sessions so I always ask them a series of questions for them to answer.
I love hearing the different variations!
When we were brainstorming on locations for this engagement session Downtown Fort Myers just seemed like the perfect location. The feel of downtown is just so much fun! The buildings and urban decor. One of my favorite spots for this Downtown Fort Myers Engagement session is this beautiful fountain, it definitely has an antique feel.
I am so excited they we were able to incorporate Ashlee’s two sons. It so sweet to Greg with them, they definitely look up to him and have fun with him too!
This sweet couple have been dating for 3.5 years, little did they know where they would be today during their first day at a Friday’s back in February 2013.
I am a total hopeless romantic and I always ask how he popped the question, Ashlee did tell me that it did not go as planned but she loved it all the same.
His propose did not go as planned. We were going to his parents house the weekend after Thanksgiving. I had thought we were just going up to Ocala to celebrate Thanksgiving with his family. On the way up there though his mom texted Greg and since Greg was driving he asked me to read the text to him. The text read “Debbie wants to be there when you ask her”. So, at that point I knew he was going to propose. Greg was a little upset to say the least because he REALLY wanted it to be a surprise. He thought about calling it off and asking me when I’d least expect it, but his family was expecting it and I didn’t want his mom to feel horrible. Once we made it to his parents house we talked for a bit and then his mom pulled me aside and gave me a jewelry box and then walked away and then Greg proposed to me. He said that I needed something to put in the jewelry box, but I haven’t taken the ring off since.
How gorgeous is that ring? Greg definitely did well picking out this beauty!
I love asking each of them what they love about each other!
This is what Greg had to say about his soon to be bride
I love her kind heart, her joyous attitude (most of the time) lol! Her honesty and her smile that lights up my day. She is always there when I need her to be and she is the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. I love how trusting and kind she is and so much more!
And this is what Ashlee had to say about Greg!
I love his selflessness. He is always trying to help me whether it’s with the boys, yard work or helping with my lesson plans. He always seeks my advice (may not always use it!) and considers my feelings when making decisions. He really does go above and beyond and you can see that with how he loves me and the boys. He looks forward to spending time with us and is big on family time. He definitely makes us a priority.
These two were born to be in front of the camera, of course it took a few for them to get warmed up but they were naturals!
This Downtown Fort Myers engagement sessions is definitely one for the record books. We had such amazing golden light and a nice slight breeze.
I had the best time during this Downtown Fort Myers Engagement session.
I cannot wait to share their special wedding day it was truly one of the best days ever.
